Hip-hop legend Darryl “DMC” McDaniels will perform and be recognized as an Ambassador of Goodwill at the Children Uniting Nations 2007 Awards Celebration & Viewing Dinner on Sunday, February 25 at The Music Box at Fonda in Los Angeles.
Children Uniting Nations (CUN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality mentoring relationships for at-risk and foster youth. The organization was founded to protect the children who have no voice, whose fragile lives are being abused and lost by the millions, due to uncertainties utterly out of their control.
DMC will be recognized as an Ambassador of Goodwill along with Stephen Dorff, Bryan Greenberg, Chaka Khan, Lil’ Kim, Radha Mitchell, Esai Morales, Jane Seymour and James Keach.
CUN strives to recruit and train community volunteers to help build self-esteem, life skills and improve educational outcomes for youth in at-risk communities. CUN brings to the table private/public community collaborative partnerships designed by highly regarded experts in the mentoring and foster care communities. Children Uniting Nations aims to bring our global communities together to come to the aid of our children most in need.
The Children Uniting Nations Awards Celebration and viewing dinner is a vital fundraising effort for CUN to continue its endless support and commitment to our communities’ most vulnerable children. The CUN Awards Celebration and viewing dinner features a gourmet dinner back-dropped against a live viewing of the Academy Awards silent and live auction and one of the most exclusive after parties with dancing and live performances by some of the hottest and most renowned artists.
