Well I didn't find out that I was adopted until I was 15 yrs old my dad told me while we were on vacation what a way to ruin a kids summer. I was adopted to two great people and I have five sisters. My dad really wanted a boy LOL. We lived in Hollis Queens like yourself.
Well my story goes like this, I'm in the Army National Guard. I was in Iraq in 2004 and while I was there I thought if dI on't make it back I would like to find my birth mother so I got as much information from my dad that he had about my adoption and found an investigator who told me he could find my birth mother for me so I paid him $1500 down and then another $1000 and waited for about three months. I tried to contact him but his phone was cut off and his office was closed. Needless to say I got jerked! And I still haven't found my birth mother. Now my unit is getting called up again and by next year I'll be back in Iraq. I want to try again but I'm a little leery this time.
Oh yeah by the way DMC, you were one of our best customers at my fathers car wash 173 and Liberty Ave. You were there at least twice a week.
