"In Search Of"
I went searching for "my lost child",
But I did not find her.
Instead, I found a beautiful, grown woman
Who was anything but lost.
She is a confident adult with goals and
plenty of determination to obtain them.
She is happy and joyful,
With a great positive attitude towards life.
"Lost" is definitely not an adjective to describe her.
And "my child", she is not.
She has a family.
She is someone else's daughter, sister, granddaughter,
And aunt...
I went searching for "my lost child",
But I did not find her.
Instead, I found me:
a "lost mother".
