The words “Love All, Serve All” can be found plastered on the walls of every
Hard Rock Café in the world. These words serve more of a purpose than their use as just a slogan. They reflect an essential tradition practiced throughout the history of rock ‘n' roll and also emphasizes Hard Rock International's long time commitment to philanthropic activity.
Having grown a strong bond with Hard Rock, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels has lived up to his reputation as an Ambassador of Rock by participating in the 2005 Peace Games benefit and with his continued help at Hard Rock-sponsored philanthropic events such as the Rocktober 2007 fundraiser.
However, there is one cause that DMC is particularly passionate about. At age 35, DMC found out he was adopted and has since strived to provide support and opportunities to foster kids who have been less fortunate than he. In 2006, DMC co-founded
The Felix Organization, in order to help send foster children to summer camp for a chance to experience the secure and nurturing environment that they might not otherwise get at home.

Its genuine philanthropic acts like these that make it an honor to award DMC with the “Love All, Serve All” award. After all, if he doesn’t exemplify the “Love All, Serve all” ethos, who does?
