The Josh Beckett Foundation today announced that Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, of the legendary hip-hop trio Run-DMC, will perform at the Beckett Bowl Post-Event Party at Rain Nightlife in Malden, Mass. on July 10. The party will close out a night of celebrity charity bowling hosted by All-Star pitcher Josh Beckett.
DMC will join a host of celebrities, actors, comedians, musicians and Boston sports stars including Beckett's confirmed teammates David Ortiz, Jon Lester, Mike Lowell, Javier Lopez, Tim Wakefield, David Aardsma and more.
Beckett Bowl is an annual fundraising event organized by The Josh Beckett Foundation which supports community-based programs that strive to improve the health and wellbeing of children, especially those who are seriously ill, disabled, poor or otherwise disadvantaged.
This year's primary event beneficiary is Children's Hospital.
