Paramus-based Children's Aid and Family Services is hosting an Adoption Celebration to launch its new adoption services on Sunday, Nov. 15, 1 to 4 p.m. at its Adoption and Family Services Center at Riggs House, 148 Prospect St., Ridgewood.
Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, of the legendary hip-hop group Run-DMC, will be lending his talents to the event, both speaking about his experiences as an adoptee and performing. McDaniels is a strong advocate for adopted children, and serves as a celebrity spokesperson for the agency. The celebration will also feature activities for adults and children, refreshments, the use of the Healing Garden and giveaways.
