TORONTO (Billboard) - The Canadian edition of Bob Geldof's Live 8 concerts will be held July 2 at Molson Park in Barrie, Ontario. The lineup features a who's-who of Canadian music, including Celine Dion, Bryan Adams, Our Lady Peace, Barenaked Ladies and Gordon Lightfoot.
Also on the bill will be Great Big Sea, the Tragically Hip, Blue Rodeo, Billy Talent, Jann Arden, Bruce Cockburn and Tom Cochrane, as well as veteran American rock act Motley Crue.
Canadian actors/comedians Dan Aykroyd and Tom Green will host the event.
Promoters announced on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 that Neil Young will close the show.
